Quick & Easy Toning Exercises

The other day I stumbled across the '30 Day Squat Challenge' and the '30 Day Ab Challenge'.
I found them on the Apple App Store, so I'm not sure whether they're only available for apple customers or android as well.

As I can't go the gym regularly, due to money and time, I like to do as much as I can at home.

Toning is a range activities I actually quite like to do; they're easy, not so time consuming, you can go at your own pace and they're perfect to complete in your own house!

Usually I try to complete a certain amount of sets of sit ups, press ups on my knees (cause I can't do proper push ups, yet!), leg raises, squats and lunges. But, I have a nasty habit of forgetting... Or, maybe it's just laziness, which to say I actually enjoy doing these activities, doesn't sound right.. But I just lack the motivation to start completing these activities on some days.

However, after finding these apps:

I found that having a schedule that I have to stick to gives me motivation to complete it.

These challenges have been set by proper fitness experts so they've put in rest days in the correct places and increased/decreased the amount of each activity you do each day in order to achieve the best outcomes. This is to ensure that you get the most out of these fitness challenges, for example if you go overboard one day you're less likely to complete the following days so having it all organised for you is perfect! That is unless you like to make up your own fitness routine!

As you can see, I'm only on Day 3... But I'm loving these challenges.

It gives me something to aim for and hopefully, once completing the whole 30 days I will be in a habit to continue by myself.

So, if you love sport, fitness and training, you should definitely have a go at these challenges.
See if you can complete the whole 30 days without cheating!

Cake Galore

Fancie.

The cutest little bakery - turned café, on Ecclesall road in Sheffield.

Upon visiting their smaller store a few years ago, I couldn't resist buying cupcakes if I saw their stand in Meadowhall. Their cakes are delicious. However, you definitely have to have a sweet tooth in order to eat a whole cupcake.

Today, I had the pleasure of visiting their newer and expanded café.

In-store, my friend and I decided to have some lunch. I had seen their menu online before and the 'posh pot noodle' stood out to me, so without hesitation I ordered my pot noodle - which consisted of a lot of green stuff, many different tasty sensations and a whole lot of noodles. My friend, on the other hand, decided on a chicken caeser salad. From what I could see, it looked super tasty - arriving with chicken (obviously), crispy bacon, anchovies, humungous crotons and many leaves. I've got to say, both meals were lovely. I enjoyed my pot noodle and my friend certainly loved her salad.

As you may be able to tell, this picture was taken by my
friend - hence why her meal is the main picture!

But, the most exhilarating part of our visit was the moment we were most looking forward to - cupcake time!! After careful consideration I chose a 'Peppermint and White Chocolate' cupcake, while my friend ordered a 'Honeycomb' cupcake.

And these two are taken from different perspectives.
Honeycomb on the left and peppermint and white chocolate on the right!

The satisfaction of eating our delicious cupcakes later lead us to buy four more to take home!

In my pack:

Top Left: Red Velvet
Top Right: Chocolate Truffle
Bottom Left: Banana and Sticky Toffee
Bottom Right: Raspberry and Lemon

One of them is for my mum and the others are mine! But if I'm being honest, I don't think I'll be able to finish the rest of them by myself!
As delicious and scrumptious as they may be, one is definitely enough for you!

In my friends pack:

Top Left: Banana and Sticky Toffee
Top Right: Spicy Carrot and Orange
Bottom Left: Raspberry and Lemon
Bottom Right: Chocolate Truffle
Out of these, I think only one is for herself, the others are for her family. That makes me sound really greedy, but I promise you, I will share mine!

Our lunch destination was a great choice. The food was scrumptious, the cupcakes were even more amazing and the service was spot on. I couldn't of asked for a more lovely time. We felt welcome from the moment we stepped into the store and I would definitely return.

If you ever find yourself on Ecclesall road, make sure you head to Fanice - even if just to taste their delicious cupcakes!
If you can't make it to the actual store, I think they deliver their cupcakes locally and around the country - but don't hold me to that! (For more accurate information, if you don't live in Sheffield, check their website- linked below)

Also, if you'd like to find them, check out their services or just want to have a look at their website, click here. Or if you'd like to order cupcakes online, click here.

Flurt

As a dessert lover, I found myself drawn to Flurt last weekend- a frozen yoghurt shop in Sheffield's town centre.

In Sheffield, live snooker was being held right in the centre of town so market stalls were set up to provide a large selection of foods - there were all sorts of delicacies; from Indian to Chinese, to Mexican and Spanish etc. Promoters lined the streets, advertising different things; shops, food, clubs. Whilst wondering around, my friend and I overheard a woman promoting Flurt, a frozen yoghurt shop that my friend had actually heard about beforehand, so we decided to check it out.

This fro-yo was a perfect dessert for the occasion as it was quite a warm day (for England!) and me, being me, decided to leave the house in jeans. The actual dessert was so cool and delicious. I definitely recommend you try it, if you haven't already!

There were a variety of flavours and toppings to choose from and so, after careful consideration, I chose raspberry frozen yoghurt with oreo bits. At the time, I couldn't of picked a better option. It was a yummy and refreshing snack, which filled a hole nicely.

My friend, on the other hand, decided on a healthier option; natural frozen yoghurt with bits of strawberry on top.

Now, I can't speak for her, but I'm pretty sure she loved it just as much as I did. They were super tasty.

Frozen yoghurt is a fat free alternative to ice-cream - if you're currently dieting or if you simply dislike ice-cream you may find you love this!

If you want to check out the Flurt website, click here.
I think they're only based in Sheffield at the moment, however I'm sure there will be frozen yoghurt shops where ever you are (I know that Nando's do frozen yoghurt as a dessert, but I don't think you can get any toppings!)
